A broken window, unsafe step or leaking fitting can become a serious burden for an older or vulnerable resident. A Safer Home is a proposed practical repair day focused on small, high-impact improvements.
How it would work
Assess the property first, agree to a tightly defined scope, use competent volunteers and ensure electrical, plumbing or structural work is handled by appropriately qualified people.
